The
E-Cousti range of products offer a unique concept in sound control
which meets the new requirements for Part E Building Regulations
Resistance to Passage of Sound.
Internal walls / partitions - (40 RwdB) a wall between a bedroom
or room containing a WC and other rooms (there is no part E requirement
for an internal wall that contains a door). Internal walls are not
subject to pre-completion testing.
Seperating walls - (45 DnTw + CtrdB for New Build, 43 DnTw + CtrdB
for Refurbishment) a wall seperating one dwelling from another. Subject
to pre-completion testing.
Seperating timber floors - (45 DnTw + CtrdB for New Build, 43 DnTw
+ CtrdB for Refurbishment) a floor seperating one dwelling from
another. Subject to both airborne (speech, TV, hi-fi) and impact sound
regulations ((footsteps, or a heavy object impacting on the floor).
Subject to pre-completion testing.
Note:
RwdB = laboratory testing
DnTw = on site testing
+ Ctr = correction factor which accounts for
low frequency sound such as bass on hi-fi.
