Specialist Timber Machining - A Unique Service

Brewer's specialise in timber products and a key part of that specialisation is machining. Many other timber suppliers only offer standard products or sub-contract special items; this can result in lack of co-ordination and lower quality. With their own specialist milling facility, Brewer's controls each aspect of this complex area, ensuring that service and quality are never compromised.Brewer's continually improve their machinery through an ongoing investment programme, to provide the highest levels of quality at every stage.

Cutter Design, Manufacture & Toolroom

The heart of any timber milling facility is the toolroom - accurate, precision tooling will always produce better quality products. Recent investment in CAD-CAM design equipment means that Brewer's can produce and set specialist tooling rapidly and efficiently, to fine tolerances.

Resawing & Multi-Ripping

This machinery ensures that sawing of constructional sections and blanks for further machining are all processed quickly and accurately - multi-ripping is a new process for Brewer's and has opened up new opportunities for competitive production of sawn sections.

Profile Moulding

Ongoing investment has doubled Brewer's moulding capacity, while improving machining quality, to give customers an even faster turn round on special machined sections. Pattern matching is a regular milling activity, where cutter production ensures superb accuracy. Skirtings, Architraves, Door Linings, V Grooved Claddings, Panelling, Flooring, Window Sections, Handrails and all manner of other specialist profiles are constantly being produced in a wide range of different timbers, 'from Ash to Zebrano'.

Spindling, Thicknessing & Cross Cutting

Whilst new legislation has seen a reduction in this area of operation, there is a demand, on very small batches or extreme size sections, for these operations. Cross cutting can also be arranged on certain specifications.

Sheet Material Sawing

Brewer's fast, accurate sheet cutting facility offers a very practical solution that avoids on site machining, with all the health & safety issues that arise from it.
