Flooring Grade Chipboard

The water resistant, slip-resistant surface derives from the bonding of polypropelene film onto the surface of Sonae P5 Particleboard flooring.

This water resistant film actively disperses water, prevent-ing the formation of pools on the surfaces and resists water ingress.

At the same time the texture of the film also reduces the likelihood of slipping whilst working in wet conditions. On completion of the building work, the film is easily removed. The textured film provides a slip resistant and water resistant layer. In addition to which the film is strong enough to resist tearing and impact stresses.

The eco-friendly board for use in humid conditions E-dek P5 is a high quality flooring grade particle board manufactured from almost 100% recycled material.

E-dek P5 is carefully formulated with special resins, improving the boards moisture resistant properties. P5 is specified by the NHBC for all domestic flooring and is suitable where occasional moisture might arise, such as bathrooms and kitchens, i.e. humid conditions. E-dek P5 is manufactured to European Standards and meets the specifications required by BS EN 312-5. The board carries FSC and CE accreditations.
